The Challenge: This is a graduate school project about how gridlock is defined as a traffic jam affecting a whole network of intersecting streets; this leads those in gridlock to lose their individuality and blend into a group. This imaginary museum (located in a parking garage) examines how gridlock is a natural part of our lives and how we spend much of our lives waiting mindlessly in “gridlock” to reach a goal. Often more time is spent on the gridlocked journey than the goal we seek. At the Gridlock Museum, visitors will experience exhibitions that explain what is in our everyday lives, types of gridlock from around the world and how to break out of it.
